Water off a Duck's Back

Have you ever witnessed the grace and ease of a duck in his element?  It is like a ballet.  Smooth and flowing like the water he plays in.

It soothes and calms my spirit and is one of the many pleasures I am able to enjoy in my own backyard.

My only regret is that I don't a have a bigger and real pond for Luigi to splash and swim about.

It's so easy on the eyes, quiets the mind and caresses the soul every time I watch his graceful moves.

And I never tire of it.

I love my little ducky and the good feels he gives.

(or watch on YouTube)

Luigi, the king of swim

How cool is that? Amazing that it likes your little wading pool and isn't worried about the dogs. I'm sure their smells are all around.

Honey and I like to sit by the edge of the creek and watch the ducks swim by. I'm hoping she's inspired to swim some day. :)

Luigi is a very handsome boy.

There were a pair of mallards on the front lawn early yesterday but they didn't venture to the back where our pool is. Good thing 'cuz I know the pack would have had a fit and a half!!

I could watch that video over and over again! What a sweet duck! You've brought back some fond memories of when I first moved up to the country from the city and in addition to adding horses, dogs, cats, parakeets, and a baby bull (once we left the city, my dad was all about adding animals to our family!) we had ducks - and they loved to swim and splash in a kiddie pool. Thanks so much for the fond stroll down Memory Lane...and I wish you many days of watching your beautiful duck! :-)

Luigi seems like a mellow fellow who totally is happy in the moment! He makes the pool seem like the perfect pond. What a delight in watching him.
