Monday Memories-Sometimes You've Got to Stop and Smell the Puppy Breath

I have been up in the air about whether to keep "Monday Memories (1)" going.  Where we take a little trip down memory lane of living with our animals.  I have been wondering if it is worth keeping and if you, the readers still enjoy it.  While flipping through all the hundreds of pictures for an idea for this weeks post, I came across this one and my heart stopped.
This is Chance.  At three weeks old.  Eyes and ears open and just starting to get the feel of those clumsy big paws.

We took single shots of all ten puppies on this blue blanket when they were three weeks old.  Chance took the sweetest and cutest photo out of all them.
And I don't remember it.
I don't remember taking this particular shot nor the actual photo.
I've flipped through my Picasa album a thousand times since we started blogging,
I still never saw it.

And that's when I realized how precious "Monday Memories (2)" is to the 24 Paws of Love and our lives.
Every week I get to reflect back at a special moment or time that occurred and remember some of the happiest, saddest, funniest and craziest times of our lives,
and then share them with you.

If it wasn't for doing "Monday Memories (3)," I would not have found this sweet picture of Chance,
Or the opportunity to let him shine.
Dog lives are too short, not to stop and smell the puppy breath.  :)

  3. Hi, I saw you on Brindlehounds and thought I'd stop by and say hello. The photo is lovely. Mum says one of the sad things about having rescue greyhounds is that she's never seen even a photo of Flynn or me as pup. Deccy x

  4. Their lives are much too short! I agree, you have to savor every minute of it. Well, except for those ones where they poop in your shoes...

  9. Blogging is about doing things for yourself as well as doing things for your readers.

I, for one, can't resist puppy pictures.

But I also enjoy your reminisces because it shows me something else about the bond you have with your dogs.

If a feature is precious to you, it will be precious to us because you're sharing something that's important.

And, of course, Chance is adorable.
