The Ninja Fur Battle

I don't mind the dog hair that is settled around the house and has a place to rest in comfort.  On the floor, the counter, my clothes, blankets, bedding etc. You get the point.  I can accept that.  But when I have to have a ninja fur battle with all the wisps of floating dog hair while trying to eat, that's when I start to crack.  It's like entering a fur asteroid field and trying to dodge around the floaters with the mission of beating my food to my mouth.  UGH!!

Mom, what are you doing with the electric razor in your hands?
This doesn't look good!

When does shedding season hit your last nerve?

Uh oh Brut RUN! ;)

Has your Mom tried the Furminator?
Mom doesn't use it on me cause I don't shed much butt I've heard from my furrier friends that it works real well for them :)

Waggin at ya,

Probably after weeks of brushing and brushing, then a rip to the groomer to blow the remaining furs out, then a full vacuum of the house, and lo and behold - more fur on the floors!!! It is never ending with sibes:)

Hide, Brut! Hide! Tell your mom to get a Furminator instead!

I'm pretty sure that it's against the law to use a razor on a dog. Yup. I'm sure that I read that somewhere!

At least that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

My sympathies. My dog sheds the same amount all year round so I luckily escape much of the frenzy in that sense. Although our cat's fur is very similar to a husky and he is definitely going through his annual "tufting" spree right now. At least he is small. I don't know how you handle it with six dogs!

We play fur volleyball on the front porch trying to bat it in the wind until it drifts off the porch to be picked up by some bird looking for nesting materials.

My big frustration is when I put lip balm on before bed just to find myself covered in dog hair. Ugggh. And yet I can't imagine not having a fuzzy dog around the house.

Six, however? I'd be buried. :)

I don't think even the Furminator would work for a Husky. When I had my two huskies, my last nerve during shedding season came when I found a gob of fur in one of the ice cube trays frozen into the ice. I'm still trying to figure out how the heck a gob of dog hair found its way into the freezer!

This may sound strange, but I kinda miss those shedding seasons. Guess that's because I miss my furry Husky kids!

Like OP Pack says. The other night we went out to see a concert. I carried my sweater on a hangar out to the car and changed into there. We have TWO lint brushes we keep in the glove box. In the parking lot at the theater I dehaired Steve and then he did me. We went inside, found our seats and I looked down to see...long white dog furs sprinkled across my sweater front!!!! I take a little Eskie love everywhere, I guess!

Hi Y'all,

Stoppin' to say "hello" and see how y'all are doing.

Not sure y'all had such a good day. Can't let my Human see you...she might get ideas...the slightest bit of hair anywhere sends her spastic! If she thinks she can clip all my hair off! YIKES!

Hope you have a fantastic week!

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

I have gotten used to the shedding. The hair has just become a constant item in our house. It is everywhere and there is no escaping it! I think I eat dog hair at least 5 times a day:)

LOL! I can SO relate! I think when I have to vacuum the small Daisy hairs out of the couch I go a little crazy. Whta is it about Lab fur that makes it so hard to vacuum up?

that said, when the dust bunnies start following me I know it has gotten out of hand.

Thankfully, Sage's hair doesn't 'bolt'...it just sheds year round!
